Question about P5Mate pro update

Do we need to update the P5 pro mate once we have recived it, or does the device all ready have the newiest FW all ready installed on it?

I just received my P5Promate Pro and updated the firmware. My gamesir G7 SE does not work. I am really disappointed. This is the main reason why I purchased this. Will I be able to use this with gamesir controllers? I just pre-ordered the gamesir G7 pro
