Beloader pro not working with xim apex

I've updated beloader pro to the latest and correct firmware when I plug my controller straight into beloader it works fine but when I try connecting my xim apex it doesn't recognize my controller any ideas how I can fix this issue?

I have the beloader connected to an external power supply as well
