Hello, colleagues! We are considering Shifton for shift planning in our company and I have some questions. The system promises many advantages, but how does it behave in real life? To what extent can we rely on automatic planning, or is human intervention still needed? For example, it happens that someone gets sick or wants to change shifts at the last minute, and how does the system take this into account? And another thing - we have many employees with different preferences that are important for creating schedules. Does the program take this into account itself or do we still need to manually adjust everything? I would like to hear real experience, if someone is already using it in the current conditions.

Hi! We have been using https://shifton.com/shift-scheduling at our company for several months now, and I can share my impressions. The system is certainly useful, but you need to understand that it does not solve all problems and in some cases requires human intervention. First of all, the automatic employee schedule generator does an excellent job of automatically creating schedules based on pre-set parameters. For example, you can set up working hours, the number of shifts and breaks, employee time preferences and days of the week. The system takes all this into account, which significantly saves time and makes the work of the HR department easier. But with unpredictable situations, as you already mentioned, everything is not so smooth. For example, if someone gets sick or decides to change a shift at the last minute, the system will offer replacements, but does not always take into account the importance of a particular employee for this shift. In such cases, Shifton will still offer someone to replace, but sometimes such an employee may not be suitable for personal or work reasons, even if the program considers him suitable. We've had several situations like this, and each time we had to intervene and manually redistribute shifts.

Hi! I think Shifton is still convenient in situations where you need to create standard shifts and pre-planned schedules. But as mentioned above, when unpredictable circumstances arise, you should not rely on the system completely. In such situations, you should always be ready to intervene, because automation, no matter how good it is, does not always cope with the individual needs of employees.
